Pick-A-Part

Good yard but staff could be more reasonable.I required x4 bolts that a picked up at random buried in dirt in random places throughout the yard. Once I reached the counter I was informed that these were lower control arm bolts. This changed the price from $4 total to $20. Now as these bolts were picked up off the ground at random there was no way that I could prove that they were not lower control arm bolt, but they did not look like them to me. I offered them $5 total but they stood firm at $20. This bolt will be thrown back onto the ground resulting in zero profit made ( profit that pays their wage ). There needs to be more flexibility for simple matters like this.Otherwise a good yard and I visit and spend money frequently.

The website isn’t updated, so don’t be surprised if there’s nothing left in the car when you get there. Also it’s way too expensive. You go there find a part take it off the car and still has to pay too dollar for it, very disappointing.

Do your price check before you go spent ages getting the part I needed only to find out they wanted almost twice the price of a brand new part at Repco Even.

It's like a treasure hunt game, you would never know if they have the parts that you want. And don't trust the stock availability on their website, they're inaccurate.The Avondale site is better organized than the Mangere one.

Great prices on parts if your willing to undertake the labour effort yourself to remove them

It's a cool pick a part, right off the freeway. Like immediately off the freeway...don't bring a trailer either as the parking lot is long and narrow. It's a standard pick a part and the website is pretty cool too.The only complaint I have about PaP is that some of the clerks try to tear down a part to tiny brackets, fasteners, and tubes...which is kinda insane on small complicated components on the interior or control units.

I have been to Pick a part Avondale and Mangere a few times now, with my partner. Have found the ladies in the office to be very rude and condescending, they could talk to the customers in a much friendlier way than they do. These are the people you see when you first walk in and the last person you see when you walk out, not good advertising for the company with grumpy ladies at the desk.

Very well set up if you're prepared to get in and remove the parts yourself. Prices are really good all cars are really easily accessible. Highly recommended.

We're able to get a part. However one can not exchange if it does not work (an electrical piece) also the price was an exorbitant price. Certainly you don't get yr money back. Never go again as I felt it was a rip off. Disgraceful.
