Tongariro Crossing Car Park

The whole experience with the parking and shuttle was great! Easy to book, loads of information on the TTH website to help you feel prepared. The email they send out is really informative too, giving exact directions, a packing list, and advice about checking the weather and calling a day ahead to confirm that the climb will be able to go ahead. I also received an email confirming that the climb was going to be possible the night before which was great!I left on the 7am shuttle and our driver was fab- extremely friendly ( hello, cousin if you're reading!), Giving us things to look out for as we drove and also a Maori blessing before we drove which helped to set my mind at ease.All in all a great experience and great hike!

We booked our shuttle about 2 months in advance. The week before our trip we received a reminder of the shuttle. I thought to myself this is a serious business"

Overall the whole process of booking and using this shuttle service was mega easy! The confirmation email includes comprehensive instructions to find the car park (Google maps link in the email took us exactly where we needed to go also). Quick and easy check in before the shuttle ride to the start of the crossing.The guys we’re very helpful with rescheduling our booking a couple of times due to our ever changing trip & can’t thank them enough hence the 5 stars!They’re not great at answering their phone, but did reach back out to us over text - if you need to get in touch I’d recommend sending an email!

Outstanding service. Car is parked safe off the road waiting for you to walk the crossing. Many others are parking on the highway or sitting it out at the shelter waiting to be collected. Super friendly driver who acts as tour guide for the area. Clean and modern busses. This is the best service on the crossing.

An awesome company. They responded quickly to rebook us to a different day when the crossing closed due to bad weather. The staff were friendly and the car park was safe and easy to find. The shuttle driver was fantastic at giving some local history and information. I really enjoyed the karakia to welcome us to the area and bless our journey through the crossing.

We were greeted warmly when we arrived and was plenty of parking as we were booked on the first shuttle of the day. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our shuttle driver was very informative of local history on our trip to the start of the Crossing. Felt great starting the crossing with a blessing over our safe travels for the day. Only thing I'd mention was the walk back to the carpark was a little further than we anticipated but at least it was downhill! Awesome option for parking as you don't have to wait around for shuttles and pickups, and allows you to take your time on the Crossing and go at your own pace.

The ladies who check your booking before entering the carpark were extremely helpful and friendly. Our shuttle driver was extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly making the trip an enjoyable one. It’s also great knowing our car was secure for the day whilst we did the hike. Would highly recommend this option for others wanting to do the crossing and needing transport from the end of the track.

Everything from calling up and asking for information on the service to the service itself was awesome! The park is super close to the end of the track and all of the staff were really helpful and lovely. I would definitely recommend to anyone who will do the crossing and wants the comfort of their vehicle at the end of a hard (but thoroughly enjoyable) day's walk doing the crossing!!
