Catherine spent an afternoon helping us with some sorting out. She was really great with my daughter, who had been a bit worried about a stranger coming into her room. Catherine soon put her at ease and they made some really good progress, without the stress that we have when it's just my daughter and I! Then she helped me with my own stress area: paperwork. It was so good to have Catherine there to keep me on track and create a positive atmosphere. I'd love to get Catherine back some time for some more organising!

Catherine recently sorted out our shed/garage/outdoor storage. It was a mess, things were all over the place. I consider myself an organised person and had tried several times to sort it all out - but it was overwhelming. Catherine got the three areas sorted and under-control". It feels so good finally having it all done and now we can easily find everything!"

I didn't quite know what to expect when I contacted ShipShape Home and asked for some help sorting out my garage.What I got was far beyond my expectations - Catherine came armed with all the tools to facilitate an organised space; good knowledge of tips and tricks, the right questions asked gently and positively at the right time, a toolkit of signs, labels, tarpaulin, notepads. Whenever I thought - 'I wish I had x right now', she produced it from her little box of tricks.We spent about 5 hours together and it was:1) Fun - Catherine is a lovely person who was able to have a laugh while working with me2) Respectful, and always at my pace - I never felt forced into anything, Catherine knew when I was struggling with a decision over whether to keep something and she would give me time to make the decision. She suggested taking breaks at times when things were getting difficult, and this all helped.3) Informative - Catherine clearly has a lot of experience organising and helping others organise, and this showed through her ideas, suggestions and advice4) Efficient - we got the whole garage sorted in 5 hours5) Cost effective - before getting Catherine in I had been considering spending more than $200 on storage shelving. After our time together I didn't need to spend anything on additional storage because we had organised and got rid of so much stuff!The results are great - I have a really usable garage again, I have rediscovered lots of my stuff, I can find things when I want them, and importantly, things will no longer go mouldy because they're now stored properly.It was still hard work sorting things out, but Catherine made it so much easier by having a good process, good knowledge of tips and tricks, a toolkit of organising equipment, a can-do attitude and good communication. I would recommend her services for anyone who wants to have a bit of a sort out.

Recently had a really positive experience working with Catherine from ShipShape home. I had become increasingly frustrated with the clutter in our home, but was equally paralyzed by indecision in terms of where to start and what to do. Catherine has a great system - she helps you to work out where you want to work and what you want to do by sending through useful preparatory questions, so that the time you have with her is focussed and productive.Catherine manages to guide and encourage without removing agency from you. She helped me make decisions (about what to keep, what to move on, and how to move things on) without taking the decision-making power from me. The result was that I felt comfortable with the changes we'd made at the end of the day.Catherine has great ideas for organisation and storage and we made use of many of these. Importantly, they were ideas that really worked for me because, three weeks on, we've stuck to the new systems and they're making a real difference.We worked through the master bedroom and (somehow) my daughter's room. I still can't believe we got that done. Kudos to Catherine for working so patiently with my girl, but keeping her on task at the same time. She hasn't regretted any of her decluttering decisions either!I highly recommend ShipShape home and Catherine to anyone who feels like I did - stifled by clutter but unsure where to start. It's so useful having someone to help you work out what is top priority, where to start, what to do, and then to help you do the work and dispose of all the stuff you've managed to get rid of. Plus, Catherine is a lovely lady and completely non-judgemental. Book in with her - you will not regret it.
