Really cool place we arrived as a group of 16 motorcyclists and found great hospitality, service, and food. Next time we plan to stop by hand hopefully stay a night.

This pub is amazing! The BEST 'Bangers and Mash' EVER! So much so, we went to the Blackball Salami store (just around the corner) and bought some sausages, salami, and Black pudding for our trip home. I could have spent an entire day inside this pub looking at all the historical photos and memorabilia. Simply amazing.

Very disappointing. After reading older reviews we were looking forward to enjoying one of their many offerings on their menu. However! On arrival we were grunted at by a very rude publican and waited on by an even ruder woman who also appeared to be in charge. That food was average nothing like previous reviews, average steak, brought to the table without being rested and leaking blood out through the already soggy, fries! The leaf of curly lettuce with a squirt of store bought Mayo did nothing to improve either the appearance or the flavour of the meal. I would definitely think twice if you are contemplating dining there! There are other alternatives in Blackball that are far superior to this establishment.

Wonderful old pub just a real shame the the publican has no personality. Been twice with the first time just getting a smart arsed comment when we asked if he was open. Took some friends in recently, all of us saying a friendly hello as we walked in. The bar lady replied nicely, but all we got from the publican was a scowl. Sorry we won't be e back, rather go somewhere where we given a friendly West Coast smile.

Fantastic place.Excellent fresh ingredients and amazing chef.Great friendly staff especially Shelley.When I arrived I was amazed that no one told me I would have to clean my own room.This is what I was told in the Hilton hotel Biscayne Avenue Miami recently.I will definitely stay in this wonderful Hilton again.The ghosts are also very friendly.
