Loved the place. Lots of happy and active animals. All the staff were very nice and all had smiles on their faces. The lion encounter is well worth it too.Nice size place and didn't have to try and rush around to try and see everything, we got to take our time and still got to see all the animals. The natural looking enclosures are also great.

What a great wildlife park! Lots to see including the baby giraffe. Great for the whole family. We walked the entire park, on a hot day definitely need sunscreen/hats although there were shady places to stop reasonably often.

It is a good place to burn calories. Seeing healthy animals is a sight. 2 lion prides steal the show in this part of the world. Although they are from different lion spicies, with smaller then usual eyes but are healthy. Girrafe, Rinocerous, and Gorilla are the only other attractions. You can pack your lunch, drinks and have fun in sun.On a side note, the experience of drinking coffee in the parks cafeteria was a disaster. No taste, sold hot but was at room temperature and expensive. I prefer rich aroma so others might like but absolute no for me.

I have been coming to Orana park since I was a small child. I highly recommend it as a must do in Christchurch. Wide open safari like park spread over a large area which provides the animals everything they need. I love the farmyard and the Otters are always my fave!! I love seeing all the family's and little ones aswell.You can tell the animals are happy and well looked after !!I recommend atleast 4 hours if not more to really enjoy everything.

Interesting but paying $69.50 each to see the Lions get fed is a little on the expensive side, My Son and myself were the only paying ones to go on the vehicle when the lions were Fed on April 28th, But the Staff are Brilliant and Work Hard

Lovely Zoo. Nicely spaced out and quite a few animals close up. Cafe coffee maker was a little too busy as Sat in school holidays but overall a relaxed experience with a teen.

Staff were so kind and friendly. Also very imformative. Was easy to get around the park, good facilities. Staff in the cafe were not as friendly but made a decent coffee thank you. Highlight was watching Tiger feed and feeding a giraffe. Thanks heaps for an awesome day. Thankfully weather was great too :)

Pre purchased the lion encounter. If you are not going for the lion encounter, then don't need to pre book tickets. Can buy entrance tickets on the spot.Close proximity with the animals.Wide space to walk, very refreshing for me.

Oh, the kids loved it here! Although we didn’t get to see some animals because there are days they don’t come out. So, you might want to confirm before going. But great experience tho!
