Gun City Dunedin

I was blown away by this shop. Now I'm not a big gun guy but the range of stuff on offer was impressive. And the staff where very helpful even though I was just having a look around.

Been an hour and a half teying to call. Not able to get through at all. Not driving in to inquire. If your going to have a phone number then do pick the phone up. It's really not hard. I'm fairly confident to say its apart of your job.

Walked in and asked about Lever actions. Can I just come around the counter for a quick look? - No you can’t, we don’t allow anyone there, so I walked out again.

Really nice chaps. Went in a few weeks back to get a price on trading in some firearms. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Have also purchased a few dehumidifiers for my safe, one was defective and was replaced immediately for a new unit no questions asked. Will definitely be using them more often and glad they are finally in town !

Great service, very helpful. Helped me make a better decision around buying a bore-sighter. Swapped out a rail, when I was supplied the wrong one by another supplier. Impressed.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always happy to help me out when I have any questions. Great people to have a chat with as well! Will be buying from here for the foreseeable future.

Spent a fortune on a brand new Sako from this store, fired it at a target at 100yds and it put 5 shots through the same hole. Asked the store to thread the rifle for me and it came back with a wonky thread that looks like it's been cut with a hand die... This caused bullets to clip my brand new DPT suppressor on the way through. The managers solution to this issue was to bore a larger hole through my suppressor and I received it back in an unsafe condition full of swarf, and I still had a wonky thread on my brand new Sako! Manager is very rude, obnoxious and unhelpful and made out like all of this was my fault and was most upset when I asked for a refund and replacement for my brand new suppressor. So if you want miserable customer service and over inflated prices, this is the place to shop!

I found the staff to be quite knowledgeable and helpful and in particular Jason and Matt, who pointed me in the right direction to get started on my new hobby of long distance plinking. Very happy with my purchases and the customer service.

Bloody awesome bunch of guys and gals and an excellent selection of rifles. They were very accommodating and were more than willing to change various components such as stock, barrel, scope and rings to a rifle I had purchased the previous day no questions asked. They even gave me some free kit on top of the discount! I had already been around to the other gun shops in dunedin and these guys were by far the best with the widest range of rifles and accessories with the best prices. Don't waste ya time going anywhere else because you'll end up going to gun city in the end believe you me. The only criticism I have of the place is that they had 3 coffees freshly brewed sitting on the counter and they didn't offer me one lol :) na awesome service and bloody friendly!
