Very interesting place to visit. Kids will love the mine tour. Not really suitable for those who are mobility impaired.

Great little museum to learn about the town's mining history. Very kid friendly as most things were interactive while you learn.Karen was working that day and she was so lovely. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and so friendly. Gave my son a little choc bar after we finished the quiz.Would definitely consider coming back to do the actual Martha Mine tour in the future.

Like all the info centres in new Zealand, there are always all kind of local info you wante and need, plus the lady working there when we arrived was very very warm hearted and knowledgeable.The most enjoyable part in Waihi is Pit Rim Walkway, which has lots of accesses, and one is just cross the road with the info centre. We had a really great time walking through in a light rain

Very interesting learning things that that didn't know.The gold mine is only in name.90% silver and other. And gold makes up 5%.

Facilities 5 clean, nice shopServices 5 we did the family package for $159, which included the Discovery experience and tour. First rate interactive exhibits. Guide was knowledgeable on the mining process and tour was put together well.Price and value 5 great value. Spent an hour in the Discovery experience and 2 hours on the tour.Summary 5 awesome for kids and adults and the best attraction in Waihi.

Amazing Staff. So friendly and welcoming.Inundated me with maps and information of local attractions.Genuinely interested in my vacation.Bought two keepsake pens and a fridge magnet!Literally, a goldmine of information.If you're ever traveling through Waihi, this is an absolute MUST to stop, recalibrate and carry on.Highly Recommend.Ample Parking.
