We've been making memories with our kids & friends here for 5 years now. Such a great place to camp, good, clean kitchen & bathroom facilities. Paddling pool & playground for the kids & beach has great waves for boogie boarding. Close to town & the lake & clifftop garden are a short walk away. Hopefully will be back for the next 5 years too!

The location and surroundings are obviously, amazing. The actual caravan grounds, their well kept, excellent facilities and lots of options to cook and power equipment. A very, very comfortable stay!

Awesome camping ground. Peaceful and clean. No noisy neighbors or loud music. The staff are friendly and amenities are sparkling clean. We will definitely be back.

The room was nice when we walked in there a puddle of water on the floor while sitting watching TV you could see the water leaking through the join in the lounge area under the TV. The path up to the unit was just muddy dirt, so it was not good to walk on or try and get in the unit. Apart from the few small things, it is a great location.

Great spot. Excellent choice of sites. Shower/ toilet facilities clean & good size. Kitchen facility had everything you needed. Beach was perfect.

Nice and helpful staff.We slept in one of the cabins - small, but enough. There is a fridge and a kettle in the cabin and some basic kitchen equipment you can use in the shared kitchen space (like pan, small pot, plates, cutlery,...).You have to bring your own towel and upper sheet and duvet, or you can borrow those for a fee.There is also laundry on site - 4$ each. And possibility to buy detergent, but if you want to wash wool stuff, get one before (the one sold is enzymatic = not good on wool).

A very well-placed campground down on one of the top surf beaches in the region offering a first-class service. The facilities are immaculate, well equipped with everything you would need, plus there's a public kid's playground and paddling pool just meters away. The staff were fantastic, super friendly and always up for a yarn. The powered sites are very spacious.It's a 10-minute walk into town and backs onto the Opunake Loop walking track to soak up the fantastic views of the coastline and lake.I'll be back again for sure.

We have just spent 3 nights at Opunake beach camp and we were very impressed. Owners kept vey busy daily, cleaning, mowing lawns and rubbish removal. The place was immaculate. Weather also played its part and we throughly enjoyed our stay. We shall return.
