Very helpful and friendly staff both times I’ve been. Offering advice and tips on what to get and what not to get. Unfortunately Animates as a company is overpriced, but as a store, this place is great! My springer loves his toys from here!

Extremely polite and efficient staff. Also quite knowledgeable about their products. Easy parking and a very tidy store. A little expensive with some products but buying these products online elsewhere is more expensive because of postal charges.

Came in a couple weeks ago to buy a goldfish for my birthday. Was greeted by a lady, was very helpful at the start but as soon as she found out that we had no tank, she turned so hostile and didn’t want a bar of us. Since we hadn’t had a tank running for a month (fair enough- want to keep the fishies healthy) she refused to even talk to us. She was so rude, talked down on us, even walked away as we were talking to her. Refused to talk to us to even buy a tank. Went to the pet store in town to buy a tank, they were 1000% more accomodating and friendly. Will be going back to them to buy my fish in a couple weeks.

Bought fish here, they are in very poor condition, Lost 40% of the fish within 7 days. Fish was properly introduced, into a cycled established tank. Will not be buying anything aquatic from you again…

Good selection of products, clean and nice atmosphere, very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Dog friendly building too. Prices can get pretty expensive though, other than that, 4 stars.
