One train. That's it. Christchurch should really have a train system like Auckland.

Two trains serve this station per day. One in each direction and they’re not commuter trains they’re tourist trains.

Went to resturant on saterday 12th Feb. Early enough to eat and be ontime for an 11am appointment. How wrong was I?. Received coffee promtly, but then the wait began. Our server asked if we were waiting for anything else and we said yes" out brealfast. After another 20min I commented to my partner thet the table adjacent to ours have already received there food even though they came in and order long after us. I noticed deliberation between the three servers behind the counter

train station itself is fine, albeit old, however there is no commuter train to Christchurch despite both ends of such a line having a train station. It would relieve congestion and get people to work quicker if there was one.
