We were looking for somewhere for dinner and most places were shut. We saw this busy little restaurant and were lucky enough to get a table by the bar. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 meals and spent about 100 NZ dollars. I had a steak pizza which was fully loaded and my wife had the lamb shank. The food was excellent, tasty and nice and hot. Despite being told there would be a bit of a wait due to it being so busy, the food arrived within 15 minutes. I am sure this place is always busy as the food was really good for the money.

Food is very good. The food sizes are very good, not too big and not too small it’s perfect. The restaurant is warm and has lovely interior. The meals are worth the price. Prices are good. Overall 10/10 definitely going back.

Amazing restaurant. The platter for two is a must, everything is so good. Followed by the wagyu brisket. Will be back to try more dishes

Kitchen closes at 2pm on Monday ?!We got the steak pizza which was good, and the chicken halloumi salad which was ok and on the small side. We ordered the calamari appetizer which was good. They forgot our side of fries.Not a bad stop on your way to Hobbiton.

We attended a private function in the upstairs room. The staff were friendly and helpful the food was lovely and they had a good range of dairy free, gluten free and vegan options to cover the range of people who were attending. I would happily go there again.

We had a wonderful dinner here. Our B&B host recommended it.The food was a mix of pizza and many upscale options. My lamb shank was excellent. My wife's pizza was good. The scallops we shared were especially good with a cauliflower puree. And the salad was also quite good.The location was loud with a lot of families. Go later if you want a quieter meal as the families cleared out by 7 or so.Service was brisk and yet friendly. Our server checked on us often to ensure we were doing ok.I recommend it for casual dining and excellent food.

We had amazing dinner here for four people. The food was outstanding the lamb shank delicious the chicken breast beautifully cooked the whole meal exceeded expectations humorous. With very generous servings. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!!!

Excellent spot for lunch or dinner. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was well made and appropriately priced. And the establishment was clean. I would recommend going here.
