The Mayfair

We had the absolute most amazing 4 nights here! We were blown away by the service, the rooms, the amenities and the cafe/bar. There were very thoughtful details in the room and the room itself was spotless, well designed, and in amazing condition. There was an central tabletwhere you could request an e-bike to use (which we did every day), order room service, order from the pillow menu. They also have a deal with the local gym which you can use for free when you’re staying.The staff were the most genuinely friendly and helpful staff I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. All very professional but also warm and welcoming.The cafe/bar had one of the tastiest breakfasts ever (taco taco). Heaps of options for all dietaries and a great range of non alcoholic (especially teas) and alcoholic beverages. It was always busy and had a great vibe plus you get a free drink to redeem whenever you please when you check in. Can’t wait to stay here again when we come back!

Stayed there for 3 days, hand on my heart one of the best hotels I stayed in, and certainly the best in New Zealand. We toured the whole country, but felt at home in christchurch thanks to Concierge and the hotel who helped made this part of the trip headache free.Highly recommend staying there and having tea at the Cafe!

Outstanding modern hotel close to Christchurch CBD. Very clean and comfortable with an excellent cafe/cocktail bar. Staff make you feel welcome and they were all very friendly. A great place to stay in Christchurch.

Amazing new boutique hotel in Christchurch. Warm and friendly service with just the right touch of elegance and minimalism. Beds are almost too comfy and the desserts from downstairs is a must.

Clean quiet and spacious room and a superb bistro on ground floor for coffee and food. Friendly efficient staff. What more could I want? Bonus is a stunning Viet-Thai restaurant just around the corner.

Amazing stay from the beginning, great parking prices, free welcome drinks of your choice. Room was spacious, comfortable bedding and great amenities. They had lots of other amenities at a touch of a button. Definitely recommend for hotels in Christchurch.

First, the location for us was fine although on the edge of the central city. That worked since we arrived late from Oamaru and coming from the north had very little city traffic. They have parking although not free but also not unexpected. If we could have, we would give this boutique hotel 10 out of 5 stars. The service was friendly and outstanding, room service quick and very good, great room with all the amenities, and let's top it off with a free drink on the house. If we ever stay in Christchurch again, it will be at The Mayfair. Thanks Mayfair for treating us to a wonderful stay!

Recently stayed here and can definitely say it was one of the most amazing places, rooms are neatly decorated and the whole room experience is wonderful, with a tap of a finger you can have your breakfast, lunch and or dinner brought up to your room from the cafe/kitchen downstairs or you can have extras brought up such as chargers, hair straighteners and much more. The reception staff were friendly and made the checking in process easy especially if you’ve done the pre check in online. Although our shower had a leak which led to water leaking out we let the people know via the tablet in your room and they were quick to call and ask if we wanted to change rooms which we didn’t feel the need to do. The staff are prompt and very helpful! They also offer you a complimentary drink from the majestic cafe down stairs! Can’t wait to stay again!

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff is REALLY friendly they make you feel at home. Majestic cafe is great as well - the cocktails are good. Coffee was even better. The rooms are fantastic, the hotel even upgraded us to a suite since we were on our honeymoon. The minimalist & luxury design of the room (the property as well) is what sets Mayfair apart. The only thing I regret was not staying here longer.

Where to start ! We loved our stay at the Mayfair so so much! The service is great to start with the lovely people at the reception. The hotel is truly clean, felt really new and rooms are really clean with great bathrooms and fresh big towels. We cannot stress enough that we are real neat freaks and would not say a room is really clean very soon.. the Majestic bar is great place to have a drink or high tea. Location of the hotel is great and we loved the option of parking on the hotel parking lot. Would really recommend coming here ! Made our stay in NZ really great! Love to come back and wish more hotels are like the Mayfair
