Fantastic restaurant. The food is exquisitely stunning. If you have not been here get here soon. You won't be disappointed. Easily the best Indian cuisine you'll find. Flavors and spices are next level amazing.

I am not of indian descent. The owner/manager has behaved in a non inclusive manner resulting in racist behaviour to my indian descent friend and his group who tried to dine here. They were moved from the window seat(where they would be seen)to the toilet table because the owner/manager prefer a white clientele who will not complain about the low standard and quality of their questionable authentic indian food. I am disgraced by this behaviour to a demographic of people that do not deserve to be treated this way, nobody does! How can you treat your own people like this! I will never refer anybody to this place again! If I can rate a zero, I would have!

Service was great, I was dinning by myself and the lovely waiter did a single portion of one of the starters so I could try it! Food was fast, fresh and delicious

Nice place, nice ambience and nice people. The food quality and quantity was good. Neat and tidy place. Really nice and tasty preparations, according to our taste. Giving 4 stars only because of the prices, they were expensive.

Horrible food.We went there to have some tea and something to snack on as we were in Christchurch.We did ask for the owner to come and have a chat but the lady never turned up but she put her wait staff as a buffer.The tea was equally horrible.I have added a picture of the sev puri for your reference which costs about $17.Make your choices wisely.Chur!!

Simply the best!We requested them for a spicy paneer makhani (outside the menu) and they made one of the best i have ever had.The pav bhaji is out of the worldSev puri also very niceVery very nice ambience and excellent service.

My partner and I reserved this restaurant for dinner (8pm) on our first night visit to Christchurch. The restaurant has an amazing ambience, very rustic vibe with great Hindi songs playing in the background. The restaurant was full and why not with such delicious selection of food that they serve. We tried Paneer tikka from tandoor and Cauliflower Manchurian from starter. Both dishes were really tasty. Mains we ordered were Paneer saagwala and lamb dhansak which comes with rice. We tried garlic naan and onion & coriander kulcha too. Mouthwatering as the Paneer dish did not have cream which is exactly the way I love with lots of greens. My partner loved his lamb dish as it was succulent and melt in the mouth. For dessert we had Cardamom and coconut kulfi (ice cream on stick) which came as 2 pieces. Very tasty and not too sweet, just perfect. We also tried the Indian chai and yes it was served in glass for the Indian street food feel. Customer service was superb. It gets really busy so be prepared to wait for a while for food especially around dinner time. Making reservations is a must to avoid disappointment. Highly recommend and will definitely return before leaving Christchurch.

Amazing food!! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to eat not your standard Indian food! Especially the items on the street food side were great! Food was all consistently great and came out quickly.... Love the decor and concept will be back for sure!

Incredible food! We had an excellent selection of vegetarian takeaway items. Everything was very flavourful, and had just the right amount of heat. We would highly recommend the Dabeli.When we went in for pickup, the atmosphere of the restaurant seemed amazing, and we were blown away by the delicious smells from the kitchen.They offer a 10% discount on pickup order which is a nice touch.
