Had lamb on chips with salad. Chips tasted not so good and smelled like used oil. Lamb taste was not so great as it was mentioned in the other reviews. Atmosphere was not so pleasant and didn’t look clean or was not attractive for a restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend but there’s hardly any option in this area.

My favorite Turkish restaurant in Whakatane. Friendly service and fabulous food. The atmosphere is authentic, clean and homely. The owner is a lovely gentleman. Great place if you want healthy authentic Turkish food at affordable prices. Dine in or takeaway. Highly recommended

Gallipoli Turkish Restaurant
Forgot half of order. Did not where gloves but did use hand sanitizer before rolling kebab so it tasted like hand sanitizer. Also got a salad that had a lot of water in it. Over not good won't be back. Better to drive into town.
