We had the most wonderful first horse riding experience with Dzidra and her beautiful horses. We first fed and learned to put the bridle on the horses. We played red light green light and learned how to communicate with them. We finished it off with a very relaxing ride down the beach and Dzidra took photos and videos of us to document our experience. The whole time we felt very safe and the horses were well disciplined and looked after.Special thanks to Cosmic Shadow, Tiara, Paddy and Jazz for giving us the most memorable horse riding experience. It was an amazing way to start our Anzac weekend and we couldn't recommend it enough. ☺️

Did a 6pm trek along the beach and it was so incredible. Relaxing and peaceful. My first time back in the saddle in almost 10 years and my partners first time. Lovely horses really well cared for. Great trek instructor too!

A really nice experience! The horses are extremely well behaved and lovely to ride. I’ve owned a horse for 5 years and I usually find trail rides boring but I had a very nice time getting to trot and canter by the river and a nice walk along the beach. Beautiful scenery, nice horses, and good company altogether. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Once in a lifetime experience! We walked through the surf on the lovely Paddy and Cosmic Shadow who were so calm and gave us the best horse trek ever (and the amazing guide Dzidra who took lots of photos and showed us how to ride with just a rope halter, so much better for the horses and the whole ride). Would definitely recommend this for anyone in Hawke’s Bay. Experience the magic!!

Could not highly recommend enough! Our original booking at another place fell through over a very busy Labour weekend. Luckily Boutique Horsetreks were very accommodating with a last minute booking. We had a fabulous early evening beach trek with much loved, gentle-mannered horses (Paddy, Nugget and Aroha). Fun for adults and kids combined :).

We did the horsetrek on the beach in the morning and had a great time with Dzidra and her horses. She took a lot of time to show us how to handle the horses. We did a few exercises and games with them.This allowed us to build a relationship before the ride. The ride itself was beautiful and we felt safe and comfortable at all times. The horses were very calm and are really taken care of. Thank you very much, we will never forget it!

Massive confidence booster for a friend that came with me that had never ridden! Lovely people and horses. Catching and tacking up first is a lovely touch - good to get to know each other before you head out.
