Great place to visit if you want to catch Covid. Owner is anti-vax and anti-mask and only complied with the law after she was made aware a conviction could affect her liquor license.

Went back there revently to see whsy has changed. We were there 11 years ago and found some large ice creams. The store has changed a bit but the ice creams ate still largeGood place to go .

Best fish burger ever! The other food was also excellent but coming from Sydney I’m a bit gutted I have such a long way to come to have that fish burger again, so fresh. Luke’s around the corner was so packed, why would you bother waiting for a table. Lovely staff here too. Highly recommend.

Got some ice cream this afternoon. Of course, they can't take credit for the lovely Kapiti ice cream, but the service was excellent. Appears to be reasonably well stocked shop, in an absolutely beautiful part of the world.

The ice cream was great . What I really didn't like was the way the workers interacted with the customers. They got rude when we order our ice creams and then rolled our eyes when we entered and left. NO SMILES. Made me never want to buy ice cream from there again

Delicious ice creams, very generous sizes! Coffee was ok. Not terrible but not awesome. But we went for the ice cream which we enjoyed.

It's ok. Managed to get a bottle of wine, but it was over priced by several dollars and felt it was price gouging. They are only half an hour out of Whitianga. I find it hard to use freight costs as a reason to hike the price. It would be a more favourable option to keep the prices on a par with Whitianga, build a loyal customer base and sell more rather than have disgruntled customers they turn to Waka Kai to do their shopping.

Thanks you Kuaotunu Store. We arrived hoping for take aways but you have not set them up yet. Instead you gave us three pies (free). I loved the mushrooms leek and potatoes but the feta, spinach and mushrooms was a close contender. My husband would not share the steak and mushrooms so that must have been good as well. We will be back and thus time we will pay for the pies.
