Chelsea Park Motor Lodge
This was the perfect stay. Living room and kitchenette with coffee, chocolate, and tea. Close (within walking distance of bus station and Trafalgar Street with all the shops of Nelson. Coffee shops just up the street in both directions. We found great restaurants: River Kitchen, Green Bamboo Vietnamese, Chokdee Thai, Rustic Cafe all very close and very good! The proprietors of Chelsea Park Motor Lodge were kind, helpful, and delightfull. Definitely a will do again!

Loved our stay at the Chelsea Park Motor Lodge. Dean and Tomoko are so friendly and accommodating, they make their guests feel very welcome. The units are spacious, spotless and very handy to the city and the beaches. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved this place right from the first welcome greeting. Very clean unit #(5) with nice courtyard for Jet our Schnauzer to visit.Unit had every thing you would need in the kitchen. Great friendly & most helpful hosts. Comportable beds. Very quiet and central location. Nice laundry facility. Being dog friendly a big bonus. A home away from home. Very relaxing. Would most definitely stay here again. One of the best places we have stayed in.

I would stay again and recommend to others. Centrally located. Very clean well laid out rooms. Attention paid to detail. Bathroom supplies very nice and ample amounts. Great door security especially for those traveling alone.No issues with the internet or TV. Owners lovely, caring and very approachable.

Dean and Tomoko were wonderful. The room was clean and well kitted out. Bed was comfortable, shower was great. Easy walking access to town centre. Genuine kiwi hospitality.

Chelsea Park Motor Lodge
Our family stayed at Chelsea Park for four nights in one of the pet friendly rooms. Tomoko and Dean were great hosts helping us orientate to Nelson and made us feel at home. The room was clean and tidy - the kitchenette was perfect for making quick meals. Plus, EV charging on site and free to use!

Chelsea Park Motor Lodge
Very cute and clean, with all the necessities for a hotel stay-plus extras we didn’t easily find in other hotels, like a mini-kitchen set up! And you can’t beat the price! Everything we wanted to visit (restaurants, Lord of the Rings ring maker shop, etc.) were also all easy walking distance from this hotel. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

I’m not one for normally giving feedback but this stay deserved it! It was the first time that our family stayed at Chelsea Park Motor Lodge. We stayed in one of their downstairs pet friendly rooms which had its own private fenced courtyard which was extremely valued when traveling with a dog! The cleanliness of the rooms couldn’t be faulted – it was immaculate and smelt clean. Beds were comfortable, bedding clean and they had the loveliest smelling toiletries. Great location and Dean was easy and friendly to deal with. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Chelsea Park Motor Lodge
A great motel, excellent location with modern, clean rooms. But the best thing about it are the hosts, Dean and Tomoko. I've stayed in many motels and Dean and Tomoko are by far the best hosts I have encountered. They made our visit to Nelson a real pleasure. So thanks Dean and Tomoko - we appreciated your hospitality, and we'll definitely be back.
