Flaxmere House

Attended a wedding late last year. Beautiful place for an intimate and chill celebration. Staff were friendly and provided the goods for the guests. Great photo venue and beach photos for the couple too. Food was nice but probably need more pacific options. Still had a great time :)

Great venue, beautiful gardens and landscape. Food at the event was incredible, recommend the Brisket and Lamb. Fresh salads. Delicious!Comfortable beds and very clean. We enjoyed exploring the stunning surroundings and coming back for a hot spa. Service was great, very accommodating to our and guest needs. Venue is secure and lots of parking available. Thank you Flaxmere team for going to extra mile and for accommodating all last minute requests. We will be back.

We got married here in January and had a great time. We had around 50 people, mostly international so it was a great option for us. I didn't have to worry or plan all the small details and the venue is a great location near the lake walk and bethels beach. Accommodation was east and accessible, only complain that the couples room is so near the kitchen and the door is not very soundproof etc. Otherwise beautiful. Only small thing I wish was to have different chairs in the farther space. Food was delicious, people were all asking for more and it had a great nz feel I wanted for my foreign guests. Music system and sound system was great and we were super lucky with the weather. The owner has very kiwi vibes and very chill which I think could be surprising for some foreign or anxious people but overall all flowed well for us and she always answered our questions etc. Wish we could do it again.

Vanessa and team were amazing from start to finish, from helping set up everything for the wedding (and helping decifer exactly what we wanted when we didn't know ourselves) to preparing and serving the best wedding food anyone who attended had eaten. They thought and provided everything we could have asked for, and made our wedding day everything we could have wanted.

I attended a women's evening here with my mum and friend and unfortunately all 3 of us were not impressed. We had specific dietary requirements which were not catered for, although we were told they would be. Upon arrival we were not greeted, shown to our room, and and only given an alcoholic drink option (non drinkers).We had all booked the pamper sessions but mums appointments werent booked in. We had 3 in a room which we requested, but were not told 2 of us would be sharing a bed. Not very well organized. Overall a poor experience and we won't be back.

22.12.22My husband and I had the most beautiful intimate wedding at Flaxmere. Our ceremony was outside and it had the most insane stunning backdrop of just pure nature. I purposely chose no outdoor decorations as the view for me was everything. I loved that the area had no reception, felt like it was the perfect way to really take in the view, be present and just enjoy the moment, even though flaxmere kindly provided wifi.From the moment I connected with flaxmere, Vanessa made the conscious effort to reach out to me to help me find a date that would be suitable for flaxmere and the photographer as the photographer was an absolute must.Planned a wedding in 6 months time and Vanessa was amazing the whole time, very accommodating, great quick communication and was always making sure my wants and needs for the day were being made. Vanessa went above and beyond with my wedding, there was no stress at all in the whole planning process, the day itself and afterwards.Victoria provided the food and Omg she did amazing!! I absolutely loved all the food but the salmon, broccoli salad and Roasted Pumpkin, carrot, with feta cheese and roast cashews were my favorites. All the guests raved about the food and how delicious it all was.We stayed in the accommodation for 3 nights and it was so lovely to wake up to the beautiful nature of the birds chirping.The team at Flaxmere were super friendly, helpful and just amazing to work with.Highly recommend Flaxmere House!!!!Thank you Flaxmere team for being the dream venue with helping us to create beautiful memories of our special day.

We loved having our wedding day at Flaxmere house and staying a couple of nights, with our dearest, before/after our big day.Vanessa and her team went all the way to ensure everything went as smoothly as planned, even when the weather was a bit wet.The location was fantastic and relatively simple to get to for our overseas guests.The service and food were both excellent. We enjoyed the fabulous barbeque and the exceptional wedding dinner.We recommend this venue and staff to anybody looking to have their special day.

A wonderful experience with Vanessa, Victoria and her team. Definitely recommend for a boutique wedding.

Our sons wedding was here, and Flaxmere House made it an intimate, lovely wedding. We stayed, and the beds were comfy. The food was so delicious all cooked on site.
