Enterprise Rent-A-Car Wellington Airport

Had a great experience hiring a car for 6 days with Alamo. Service was top notch with great communication the whole time. Rental vehicle was clean and ran well. No issues the entire time. Prices were very competitive. Would recommend to anyone looking for a similar experience. Special mention to Indy.

Booked full coverage for an Suv, once we arrived to collect the car the lady at front counter tried up selling all these extra things we had already paid for when booking online. Was the worst customer service. Then randomly they took $200 out of my bank account !!! For no reason. I tried all morning to get through to the Wellington branch, no answer, after multiple voice messages left and emails, I finally got confirmation I’d get a refund. A refund of my money they never had the authentication to take in the first place !! Will never use this hire car company again.

Honestly not a great experience after the booking done through Rental Car.First, the total of the booking done on Rental Car included some items which have been charged at a different rate by Alamo based on the rule that Rental Car does not include the airport taxes. I had to pay charges which are not detailed in the initial booking done through Rental Car. Which is quite unbelievable, because the airport taxes were not applied for the car itself… So Alamo, could you please give your prices (car and other items) included all the charges to Rental Car, because no customers have to pay more than the total of the booking for what they agreed.Then, to make a depot of $200, the agent requested to make the payment through a credit card. And I don’t have any in NZ! I do everything with a debit card, we were not able to finalise the check-in until I found a solution which was to use an international credit card! The agent was very rigid and did not help to find a suitable solution, excusing that this is described in their policy. To be honest I don’t read 20 pages of the T&Cs, but that should be at minimum in the check in emails sent by Alamo to confirm the check-in.

Rental process was simple and hassle free. Car was clean and in good condition.However there is no ability to follow up for any issues once the car was returned. I received a speeding ticket for the morning before I hired the car and forwarded to Enterprise with the time stamps on ticket/receipt to show it wasn't me. They agreed that I did not have the car and said they would correct to the person who had the car at the time. 3 months later and multiple follow up infringement notices I now have the Ministry of Justice taking enforcement action for the fine, despite Enterprise again telling me they will get it sorted a month ago after ignoring previous emails in February. Also I wouldn't bother trying to call them as no one has ever answered over the last 3 months of me trying to call them.Very frustrating experience and wouldn't be inclined to book with them again

This was the worst car rental I have had in years, and I would strongly advise avoiding this company at all costs.I booked a vehicle with this company, only to be refused upon arrival. Their reasoning was due to a new policy that required an extra $200 deposit for any potential tickets that may incur. Not the bond since I had already purchased zero excess insurance, meaning that I would not have to pay any bond. They insisted that the extra deposit had to be paid through a credit card, even though I offered to use my VISA debit card for a VISA hold, or pay in cash, or whatever. They were insinuating that I could withdraw the money from the VISA hold, which I clearly couldn't.I provided a valid NZ address and NZ driver's license for any tickets to be sent directly to me. I even offered to pay the $200 as a flat fee without refund instead of a deposit, but the company refused to budge. The company's insistence on this policy ruined my trip and was a terrible display of customer service.If you are someone who wants to be treated with empathy and understanding, I strongly advise you to avoid this company. They showed no willingness to understand my situation and clearly do not care about their customers' experiences.

Service was great. In particular (thanks) to Indy and Conrad. I had left behind 2 expensive personal property which they were instrumental in assisting to have them returned to me. Great customer service and less stress on my part. Well done guys, will recommend Alamo to others.

Was a great experience easy to book online and fast service on pickup and drop off. Great car and very modern for a very good price. Will use Enterprise again.

I have booked a car rental through expedia for a easter holiday from auckland to wellington.My flight was at 10.20amUnfortunately my flight to wellington has been cancelled at 10.15am due to an engineering problem and the next flight available was after 2 days which was after easter holiday.I called enterprise rent a car straight away to get a refund due to an unexpected issue but they said they won't refund any money due to their policy of refund to be claimed before 24hours of pick up time. I have explained them what happened but they won't listen at all. Terrible customer service! They are nothing different from a thief!

Booked a car online at short notice through Enterprise. Received a call the following day stating they were unable to fulfil the booking due to unforeseen circumstances - which is fine. However, I'm still waiting for my deposit of $1300 to be refunded one month later.
