Highly recommend this trail for biking or walking. Beautiful views and bush/ creeks/small waterfalls. Well maintained track and toilet facilities. Great history information provided with photos. Old summit railway station is still there. Fabulous new swing bridge built this year.

As always a brilliant cycle trail. Highly recommend for any family. It isn't to hard and is certainly manageable if kids are above 10. The tunnels were awesome and I highly recommend doing it. No need to bring your own bikes(we did anyway) because you can hire ebikes and bikes there along with buy snacks and drinks. The route has been modernized a bit but still lovely and lots of fun.

A first rate cycle track easily accessible with enough parts to make it exciting. Very well used by cyclists and walkers alike. Great for a day trip to featherston if you feel up to it.

Great ride, family friendly. Very walkable also. Give yourself 2.5 - 3 hours to complete the Return trip comfortably.

Great trail and piece of history. Easy grade cycle up from Kaitoke on a well maintained and wide track. Great for a day out with the family, especially on bikes. The tunnel at the summit is the highlight. Lots of stops for picnics at various places. Never seen it crowded. Highly recommend. Bring a head torch.

Lovely walk, I went during the week, the track is marked by km, I walked to the 4km mark and turned back. Lots of places to stop for a picnic, sheltered, and flat. Excellent for biking, running and walking. Can follow different walks along the way. Dont worry about the sound of guns, there's a shooting range nearby.

Great trail, enjoyed running it three times now. Well maintained and doable, nothing too extreme. You'll definitely need a decent torch or light for the summit tunnel. Can also be quite cold in the tunnels.
