The staff at this store are amazing. Super helpful and patient. After 3 weeks looking through multiple stores I decided to purchase my first pair of reading glasses from this store. All the staff here are amazing. They patiently helped me with my selection allowing me time to choose the perfect pairs. If you need new glasses or even need to replace your old glasses go to this store. They will not disappoint you. Thank you so much

Last week, I made an online booking for a vision test at OPSM HURSTMERE TAKAPUNA BEACH. The original appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, May 12. However, I received a call from the staff at the store asking if I could reschedule for the following week because they were busy on Friday. I was wondering why they allowed me to book online if they were busy. Since I wasn't in a hurry, I agreed to change the appointment to 4:00 PM on May 16.On May 16, at 9:47 AM, I received a missed call from OPSM at 09-4887308. At 11:43 AM, I called back and confirmed with a gentleman that the appointment was still scheduled for 4:00 PM. He even asked if I could come earlier, but I couldn't because I needed to pick up my child after school.At 4:00 PM, I arrived at OPSM HURSTMERE TAKAPUNA BEACH for the vision test. The receptionist told me that the appointment was originally scheduled for 1:00 PM, which was the time she had called me last week to request a change. She also mentioned that she had called me today at 1:00 PM, but I didn't answer. I showed her my phone call logs, which clearly showed that I didn't receive any calls except for the missed call at 9:47 AM. She then changed her statement and said that maybe they dialed the wrong number. I asked her about 09-4887308, which was the number the gentleman from the store had confirmed the 4:00 PM appointment with. She denied that it belonged to them and claimed ignorance about the caller's identity. I stood in the store and dialed 09-4887308, and it connected to OPSM HURSTMERE TAKAPUNA BEACH's phone. She changed her statement again and said that their official phone number was only the one on their business card, 09-4887132, and she didn't know who called from 09-4887308 or why it appeared in their store. I was extremely angry and left the store.As a resident of Takapuna, I have visited OPSM multiple times over the past 20 years since I arrived in New Zealand, and today was the first time I experienced such poor service. From the moment I entered the store, they complained that I was late, that I had remembered the wrong time, and that they didn't know who contacted me. I want to ask the management of OPSM, is this how you train your customer service to blame the customers? Moreover, the receptionist was making up stories and talking nonsense. I initially gave OPSM TAKAPUNA the convenience of rescheduling to today for the test, but now everything has become my fault. I am extremely disappointed with the service from OPSM, and such employees will only lead to more dissatisfaction among customers in the future.

Not a great experience unfortunately - staff were friendly enough, but the selling started before I had even had my eyes tested... I get that businesses need to cross sell - but at least make sure of the requirements before you pitch-slap your clients. The optometrist was great but the front office team probably could dial it back a bit.

A very disappointing experience at this store, from the moment I entered for my appointment the focus was sales and looking for new frame options. I was only there to check my prescription. Once the prescription was confirmed they would not write down what i needed, just pushing that I should purchase now while the sale was on, and they were best positioned to recommend what suited me the most. All I said was that I would come back with a family member to select frames. Decided to get a second opinion at another OPSM and received a much better service.
