We arranged a pre-purchase building inspection and we were very happy with the service we got from Matt. He spent a good amount of time inspecting the property and presented us with a very thorough report. This was so helpful and provided peace of mind with our decision on whether to buy the property. Mat is the best inspector we ever used. Being a new construction, our brief is a bit different. Mat and his team took on the job with confidence, spend a great amount of time on site, produced a detailed report all within 3 days. The report is over 50 pages, with photos, detail explanations and recommendations on every finding. Mat also had a phone call with us to ensure we understand everything clearly. We will definitely be coming back to Mat for our next job between Auckland and the Far North. Highly recommend.

Terrible! They didn't bother to go under the house to inspect the piles (even though there is easy access) or the obvious uneven floors. Subsequently they missed the fact that the house needs re-piling. This is despite multiple builders picking this up in under 1 minute during their inspections. Don't waste your time or money. They don't stand by anything they write in their reports. It's just waffleUpdate 06/10/21The report was engaged by the seller for our benefit (the buyer). Admittedly they are correct in this buried legal fine print. I stand by the fact it was an extremely substandard report. They are quite good at legally writing out any obligation to stand by the validity of their own report. At the end of the day we have no recourse so it's a $12000 mistake we have to bear. Lesson learnt.I would question what the point of an expensive building report is if they don't inspect the subflooring despite uneven floors and 110 year old totara piles given it had excellent access. This is contrary to the inspection standard and their own website.I guess it's up to you to decide
