Quinovic Property Management - Vivian Street

Our property manager, Gordon Tan, had workers begin stripping paint from our century-old house without having it tested for lead, exposing us to significant levels of it- we only became aware of the full extent of the danger when we performed our own testing. He refused to return emails about what compensation for medical or veterinary bills Quinovic would provide if any of the tenants or my cat became sick and pressured us not to fight back because he was under a lot of stress at work, ignoring the stress this caused us as tenants (not to mention the potential effects on children at the nearby preschool or the local stream). Quinovic ultimately ended our tenancy after renewing it without issue for many years prior to this, because we refused to accept their negligence and fought back.I am editing to add that the below response from Quinovic contains several outright lies. We did our own lead testing as they refused; testing was only carried out by their contractors when they were ordered to by Worksafe following our discovery of high lead levels. Work continued even after this, and Quinovic refused to communicate with us about our concerns for the duration. The painters (who also were not informed by Quinovic of the lead levels they'd been exposed to) continued to work while we were living at the property, causing risk to our health and damage to a number of personal possessions.

We considered using Quinovic as agents for our rental property, however a bit of research turned up so many red flags in their treatment of renters that we were horrified. If you value compassion, respect, and dignity, you don't want supporting them on your conscience.

Viewing experience was very bad. The lady agent was condescending. Was messaged to arrive 5 mins early. So I came early. The current tenant complained to lady agent that she should bring all prospects to show the apartment at once(fair). The agent lied that since I came early" she brought just me to show the apartment.Didnt like the expereince because she was very condescending in the way she was treating me. Like I might break something if I touch it."

Sam was an excellent, no fuss property manager, easy to deal with and constantly provided clear and thorough communications throughout our tenancy. Greatly appreciate you going out of your way to forward any leftover mail to our new address.

Our relationship with Quinovic Vivian Street began in 2020 and has remained positive since then. Maintenance requests are completed swiftly and we have had positive relationships with all our property managers, especially with Nichola Andre who has been our property manager since 2021. She is the reason we wanted to remain with Quinovic when we changed suburbs and were delighted for her assistance in finding a wonderful place to move! Thank you for treating us fairly, doing painless inspections, and making sure that everything is in working order.

I have been a tenant of an apartment managed by Quinovic Vivian Street for over 10 years.
