Aikido Shinryukan is a great place to train. Amazing Sensei's teaching all levels. Lots of fun. I always try and squeeze my Gi in for training when I head up to Auckland. Looking forward to next time I am up there.

Lovely people, great spirit and brilliant Aikido. I’ve trained with people from Aikido Shinryukan many times over the years. Takase Shihan is an excellent teacher, with clear instruction that is true to it’s roots in Tokyo Aikikai Hombu Dojo traditions. His students and leadership team are generous, respectful and welcoming. This is one of the best places to train outside Home Dojo in Japan.

This is a quality organization with a 50 year record of professional teaching and training Aikido, lead by Shihan Nobuo Takase. Training is diligent and of the highest standard. As one of his students of 35 years, I had the good fortune to train and teach here and overseas and the training I received from Shinryukan was always on par with the best.

It is very inspiring to have Shihan Takase, and all the other Shinryukan instructors, sharing their passion for aikido with us. I train in Hombu dojo under the guidance of Shihan Takase and in Henderson with Jeanie Benson sensei. As students, we come with our individual goals, gender, age or level of fitness, but once we are on the mat, we train together with sincerity and eagerness. Thank you to all the Shinryukan instructors for teaching us!
