Baycorp (NZ)

Absolutely appalling - we rang to dispute a bill that occurred from fraud. Instead of sorting the matter out - Baycorp insisted we pay - they refused to give reference details from the supplier (the supplier knew us as we had been regular customers years before, and had already stated we did not have a bill with them nor were we owing any monies). We kept being sent to the Philippines talking to people who did not know what to do.

I had my credit rating tarnished unfairly in april 2018. I was told it would be wiped. Now today (9/1/19) I applied for a simple $1000 overdraft for an urgent flight up north to attend my uncles funeral. I was declined because of my debt" with baycorp. I am now unable to go simply because someone at baycorp didn't do their job properly. Companies like this fail to see that stupid little mistakes like this can actually have fairly devastating consequences for customers. I remember at the time they were very rude to me

These guys just rang me, demanded my personal information. The guy spoke about money owed but wasn't willing to tell me more. Very dishonest

I get it, it's a debt collection agency but does not mean that the call center staff should be as rude as they are, idk how many Americans you have working there but he needs an attitude change

Great communication and super easy to deal with. I think the other negative reviews on here are from people who didn't actually try to contact Baycorp at all and tried to avoid their debts.The team helped me get sorted quickly and easily and made a difficult & frightening situation into a pleasant experience.Thanks for your work team! Especially with all the rude people out there!

You sign up they buy your debt little amounts you might as well don't bother they get there money..Our monies is only recovered if when in 8 years its recovered they are not in a hurry

Baycorp in New Zealand alters evidence and falsifys court documents. Their document server who also serves documents for the IRD gave me details of the claim against me over the phone and it has never been formally served. I wrote to the solicitor who is both the solicitor for Baycorp and also for the Plaintiff Bank and asked them to serve the claim so I could exercise my legal right to defend it. Today it still has not been served.

Debt collectors in NZ are not required to be licenced or regulated. People like yourselves are being taken advantage of because of our laws that don't protect the NZ people. I hope you can get your issues sorted because once a debt collector has your details they will list the debt with Veda Advantage and Centrix and Dun and Bradstreet. Once its there you won't be able to dispute it. Veda require you to prove with evidence that the debt is not yours, before they do anything about it. My suggestion is to go to the police and get a police file number and give it to Veda and ask them to place a permanent suppression against your credit file. It won't stop the collectors listing debt against your name, but you can prove to others that the listings against you have been placed there illegally by the debt collectors. If enough people speak out we can end the collective corporate bullying that you and many others like you are being subjected to.

Took a debt that was paid, then made me do the legwork to prove it had been paid. Then didn't update it as paid for weeks causing my prices with suppliers to be worse.

I had to wait 2 weeks for them to answer me how to sort out the debt...I ended up paying directly to the provider. It seems they try to avoid the payment so the debt keeps growing
