Absolutely divine! Loved having our own little cabin nestled in the trees, which our fantastic hosts have kitted out with absolutely everything we’d need or want. Highly recommend!

Cabins in amongst the forest, what could be better. All amenities A+. Views great and Oban just down the road. Car was supplied for $20 per day, very reasonable. Really enjoyed stay. Local Kaka (type of NZ Parrot) joined us in the cabin a couple of times.

This was a beautiful location with the best bed I have ever slept in. The shower is amazing and the local Kaka who regularly came and visited us became our friend. The car we were driving broke down but the owner was fantastic and came to our aid immediately. Will definitely return later in the year. Highly recommend everyone stay here when visiting Stewart Island.

We had a fantastic stay at Anchorstone after a long 4 day tramp. The accommodation was fantastic with little extras like a Nespresso machine, lovely outdoor firepit and balcony to relax on. Bill went above and beyond to help us out, leaving a car at the end of the trail, amazing cakes and even shipped some excess luggage back for us. Can't recommend highly enough!

Great view, very clean room.20-30 minute walk to the local bar, supermarket and cafe.Also a great starting point for hiking trips
