Clean and organised, bought our tickets, and had a coffee before entering the thermal park. Friendly customer service along with nice food and drinks gave us a great experience.

This place is absolute trash anyone who is planning on coming here please do not come here. The views are not good and the walk is just like any other walk. I would not recommend this for anybody. The people in the visitor center are rude and the manager has no idea what she’s talking about.

This is a beautiful thermal park in Rotorua. Loved the colors of lakes and scenery. Alltogether, its a 3km walk through the forrest to complete trip of this park so wear shoes, bring water and hats, sunscream. Only toilets are at the entrance so empty bladder before you go out. No mud or Sulphur public pools here. All in all..great new experiance.

Simply put this is a phenomenal place to visit that was absolutely worth the ticket price. In longer words, there are many geothermal parks around and while I have not seen them all, this one was certainly worth a stop. Tickets are reasonable enough and doubly so considering the size of the park and diversity of what to see. My time was not particularly crowded allowing for plenty of empty photo spots and quiet walks with a few nice “oooh, look at that” moments shared with others. The colorful waters are certainly the main highlight but by no means the only view. I wandered all the trails, perhaps 3-4km (or about 6,000 steps for a taller guy) and each spot had different views worth the time though the main trail is certainly the most impressive. Even if you’ve done things like Yellowstone or a Geyser, this is worth it.Tips: Bring sunblock, a hat, water and a small daypack. It gets very brought out there.

The staff at Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland are incredibly friendly! The Welcome Center serves as the ticket center, a small shop, and has restroom facilities. This is where you purchase tickets for the main park and Lady Knox Geyser and Mud Pool. If you haven't pre-booked tickets online, don't worry, as it's convenient to buy them on-site at the Welcome Center. They make the process easy and hassle-free.

Great experience at this geothermal wonder! The hike was well marked and the overlook locations provided for fabulous photos!! So glad we opted for this tour from cruise ship. The trail is unpaved and has lots of steps so wear good shoes for walking/hiking!

The best geothermal park we’ve been.. We came a week before level 3 and we had such a great time and the weather was amazing. The walk around the park will take about 90mins, beautiful scenery, unique natural landscapes and peaceful.. We missed the Lady Knox Geyser as its been inactive for awhile but the reception says we can come back anytime..Superbly educational and highly recommended for family..
