I brought a lawn mower from the New Plymouth store. The service when I purchased it was terrible. Then the mower had 4 faults in the first 5 months, one of them was very dangerous. When i asked for a replacement or refund i was told I had to wait while the mower was fixed. This is not what the consumer guarantee act says. Mitre 10 mega used to be a great shop but in the last 3 years the service has become so bad I dread even having to go into the shop these days.

Suoer help guy in the hardware section, helped me find everything i needed. Best thing was that he scanned everything on a hand held scanner si i just gave my name at checkout and everything was sorted

Yeah, I know, it's hard to get too excited about shopping most of the time, but when you do need something for the home or garden, more often than not this is the place to go.. having been three times this week due to some home improvements going on, today's visit was to return something which didn't fit where it needed to, and there was no issue with getting a refund; they even helped me to add my airpoints on for a previous visit I'd forgotten the card. When I ask for help finding things staff are always able to point me in the right direction, or advise when they don't have something, the cafe on site is a welcome break and nicely located next to garden section and the small but fun kids play area, so somewhere I can lose the kids for a few minutes to whiz around and grab what I need (shhh, don't tell them!l)

We pre booked a rug doctor and was told on the morning of our booking the rug doctor will be cheeked and we would get a call to come pick it up.They didn’t call us to let us know it had been checked and when we were sick of waiting we went down to pick it up they had given it to another customer. Ruined our plan for the day and disappointing from such a major store.Poor form mitre 10
