Totally Chicken Howick

Used to buy their chicken very regularly. Recent service was horrendous. Young chap with horrible attitude. No greeting, not answering question until asked 3 times (keep your headset away, mate), rude attitude.Owner, may want to check your staff's service level. Visited on Sat, 22 Apr @ 4.30pm.

Ordered online and grabbed some of their fried chicken as well as some wings. The chicken came in packs with thighs and drumsticks.The standard fried chicken was quite nice and crispy. The spicy soy wing were coated with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce. The honey butter popcorn chicken was also quite nice being slightly sweet. They also had curly fries.The chicken was nice and it was easy to pick up the chicken after ordering.

I have been noticed, this place changed of ownership...and really a big difference from the previous one.. if you fried chicken earlier needs to place it inside the warm oven to keep the same quality or you can keep it inside the chiller... but You can't keep the fried chicken into a plastic container just waiting for order to re-fry again. It is Chicken!!! not potatos

Though I would love to support local but with this store, I recommend to get KFC! The service and food were just below average. No communication on how long it would take to get food, I had to wait for a long time and still no sign of any food when there was no other customers. Finally got the food and they were really below average, worse than fried chicken from many lunch bars. Seriously don't waste your money on them.

Edit - downgrading to 2 stars. Popcorn chicken on two occasions has been incredibly tough and over cooked. Fries are soggy and onion rings were incredibly bland, tasted as if they were frozen, and very watery.I don't often edit reviews, but I've changed from a 5 star to a 3 because this place certainly has changed and the food isn't the same since when they launched.Chicken nibbles aren't well coated and have a spice added which tastes like curry powder. Chicken nuggets are standard catering nuggets - not really worth the price. Often run out of popcorn chicken which is hit or miss, and the onion rings are over battered.Staff do try, but this could be better like how it was before.***** Previous review *****Solid food! Well priced chicken that is crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Burgers are huge and very filling with fresh salad and a good portion of sauce. Staff are super friendly and happy to help in English and 汉语. A much better option to KFC if you’re after something cleaner tasting and not oily and greasy. Large fries can feed 2-3 people so be careful not to order this for one person unless you’re having one of “those” nights. Their butter milk and soy chili flavours on popcorn chicken are also incredibly tasty. So glad something quality has replaced the previous burger place that was here.

Fantastic fried chicken, even it’s takeaway!Definitely best fried chicken in east or even the whole NZ.The one missing star is because they don’t have space for dine-in, so go buy chicken from them and get the owner move to a bigger shop!

Very big portion. Crispy and tender chicken. However, the flavour are in the sauces that is separately priced. Gives you option to add your own sauce at home.
