02/04/2023The two lady's who were working this shift were both so helpful and insightful on which cake to choose. Was having a hard time to choose between two choices and the asian server was very prompt and honest on answering my questions.I have bought 2 cakes from here now.Mango fresh cream - nice and light, gives trifle vibes the taste of the sponge. Not to sweet and the Mango comes through just perfectly.Strawberry mousse cake - I bought this during the summer while it was strawberry season and this too was another light, not to sweet tasting cake. Beautiful texture and melts in your mouth just like the cake above.There's a good number of tables here. Kid friendly as they have coloring pencils and sheets which is cute to keep your kids happy and distracted if you decide to sit down and eat here.Clean and tidy, highly recommend this branch.

Disappointed, we always buy chocolate moose and kumara cake for birthday. This year we give other type of cake a try but it taste awful. its call mango moose cake but it doesn't taste like mango.

Ordered a chocolate mousse cake for mum’s birthday, best chocolate mousse! It has a layer of sponge in it, which is a good balance. Most importantly the cake is not too sweet! As we don’t like heavy, sugary dessertsThe coffee walnut slab was pretty good too, nice coffee flavour, has addition of nuts and fruits in it, if you are not a big sweet tooth then I’ll recommend the cakes here

We bought many cakes from here before and I was happy with the quality and the taste of the cakes overall, but the Valentine special cake is a big disappointment this time. The staff there highly recommend this to my husband but when we brought it home we found out clearly it’s been frozen it’s not freshly made on the day for sure. The bottom sponge cake was completely watery after it was defrosted and it taste yucky

Totally disaster experience. Order cancelled without refund but gateau house points. Then use the points online but unsuccessful!! Went to store to but was told online order questions should contact distribution center......Waste hips of time and patience on a simple online order.Don't do any online order from their site or just choose another bakery shop...

As I walked into the lovely store I was greeted by a pretty worker with blonde hair. The store was clean and tidy and the workers were well dressed. All the cakes looked delicious and fresh. P.S blonde worker at Gateau is so pretty please hit my line.

Came here for a meet up with our friends to dine in. It was our first time dining in at Gateau house. Had bought cakes here in the past and was good. Today we had the walnut coffee slice and a slice of green tea fresh cake and some coffee. The coffee here is not bad, no bad aftertaste at all. The walnut coffee cake was quite dense and flavour was not bad. I normally would pick Tiramisu but wanting to try something different. The green tea fresh cake was light, for me it wasn't as good as other cakes that i've tried here, but my wife liked it as it was not too heavy. Overall, a nice place to sit here to chat.Edited this review because we had drinks a few times here, coffee or chocolate but the quality is not that great. So if you come here, only go for the cake and never the drinks.
