Had a really special night with friends. Fantastic cocktails, great food, and proactive wait staff. We shared the small plates. Every dish was unique, just a little different from the norm. It was lovely to sit on the balcony as you did not get the high background sound of other restaurants. Tl

My partner and I can here for date night and it was lovely. The atmosphere was amazing, very warm for such a chilly night. We had the Karaage Chicken which was delicious had a kick to it but still yum. Our waiter was a young man who was very lovely and attentive, if we had cash we would have tipped him. Would definitely recommend this place to couples for date night. The mocktails are DELICIOUS!!

We came to no8 to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad that we did! The food was impeccable the pork belly and tuna were highlights. Service from Sam and Sam was brilliant and they made our night out a real event. Thanks so much and will definitely return.

Turned up and was seated with one menu, someone else arrived and ordered after they arrived us. They received water as we sat with no drinks. Two workers walked past us and did not take orders. Was looked at all ready and still no food orders were taken or drinks. A group in front of us also left as they had not been asked for orders. Went to the Quay and had a way better experience.

No.8 never disappoints.High standard of delicious tasting food, definitely quality over quantity. I like how they always mix up the menu and every time we go there it’s a different experience with some of the staple favourites. I’m not a fan of kale but couldn’t believe how tasty their kale slaw is. The staff are always prompt, friendly and attentive and you can tell the genuinely care about the diners experience.One of my favourite restaurants in whangarei for dinner or even just to sit upstairs with a nice Vietnamese style espresso martini and enjoy the view.Thank you to Sam, Sam and Matt for making our recent function such a success
