Very good range of NZ history books, and one of the best places to look for rare and hard-to-find titles. Plenty of new releases as well. The shop also has a very pleasant, cosy feel.

Such friendly and helpful people. People like this are the people who deserve our support. The bookshop also has a large range of books of various interests and ages. Located in a charming shopping strip. Reasonably priced as well.

Smith's book shop was an iconic book store, three stories high with so many books in every nook and cranny. Unfortunately after the Christchurch earthquake we lost the store along with the iconic building. Now it's a small book store in a beautique type mall, still has some old books, magazines and new books but is now in a modern type store. Not as much verity and like everything now more expensive. So it's ok for the odd thing but not as much to choose from.

Good book store, lots of old hard to find and interesting books. Always sad it isn't the three story glory of its predecessor, but it's still good.

Thanks for the book on New Zealand's swaggers, Roughnecks Rollingstones And Rouseabouts. It was a quick and easy online transaction and the book arrived very well packaged, in plastic and padding. It arrived quickly too.
