Te Waoku Kahikatea
Great flat nature walk. No signage from the car park, but track obvious once you head right behind the building. Lots of bush and signage along the way to explain the conservation efforts in the area.

Hidden gem, no signage for the reserve. Well maintained wide shingle path. View over pond and styx river as you walk. Good flat path for young children and not so active dogs

Very nice quiet place for a wander. Most people there were walking their dog. Not signposted at the road but is definitely a public access park. Lots of work done making a nice path and planting natives and they are nicely established now.

Te Waoku Kahikatea
This is one of my favorite reserves on the Styx River! A hidden jem set over 8 hectares with walks by ponds, wetlands and young Kahikatea forests and all on the banks of the Styx River. The park showcases art and has held on to its agricultural heritage. This is a great example of wetland restoration.
