Not as good as it was 15 years ago but decent enough if you disregard the slide thats like half a metre off the ground at its end. Clear drop off. Beautiful spot to take a picnic or fish and chips to enjoy watchign night take over day.

Great place to stop and have a break in a motorhome. Lots of grass parking. Right on the Estuary. Dogs allowed.

Whangamata is such a picturesque place to visit & also my hometown. We love to visit the beach, park & BBQ all year round!

Really nice playground, no toilet or water fountain. Nearest toilets are a short walk away at the end of Beach Rd.
