ASB Bayfair Branch

Went it to bank some cheques - told they don't do that and had to put it in a plastic bag. Gave me a bag to fill in, a pen and a calculator. Poor for the environment and poor service. Banked a cheque at Westpac recently - don't even bank with them got much better service!

Apalling service. Stood in a cue for 45 minutes with my 84 year old disabled mother to open her an account. Only to be told NO as it would take 15 minutes & to make an appointment and come back, this when the customer in front of us took 35 minutes. She told us they were too busy. Huge waste of time and will find another bank. Would give zero stars if I could.

Tried to explain to the girl on the phone that I had found a wallet belonging to a customer but she would not call the customer so he would know his cards and driver licences and other important items could be returned. I explained it was not possible to drop off. Having tried to give to the police and bank on Monday (bank holiday) it became a big task just to return the valuable items to the rightful owner-using security as an excuse was ridiculous as the owner would only have my number and not the other way round! Very poor customer service and I would suggest a change of bank for the owner. We have had similar unhelpful issues with ASB before.

Very annoyed with the mortgage specialist. Arranged a meeting to discuss my options to but a house with less than 20% deposit. Made that clear from the beginning when booked the appointment and I also mentioned in the beginning of the meeting. After almost 1 hr of extracting all my information, wages, employer details, retirement plans, insurance, assets, he mentions they cannot offer for less than 20% deposit. What's the point of taking my day off and attend this meeting?? They are just colleting so much data for their business purposes and we get exposed and wasting our time. I'm extremely disappointed. Reception staff is great and kind though.

I phoned the Bayfair store for help and Jonathan was super helpful, efficient, and friendly! 10/10 service!

Papamoa closed annoying, tried to ring Bayfair with the local number that doesnt work either, you have to wait for customer service no answer. No one answers calls anymore why have a local number if Bayfair won't pick up. Can't blame all this lack of service these days on Covid..............

Needed to do an ID check so I can use a company card, they turned me away as they said I needed an appointment... for an ID check!?So I had to call and book.I called 4 times at different times over 2 days, with no answer.When they finally contacted me (after leaving multiple messages) they made me set up an account (to use the company card I was given!?! yeah, they want ALL your details!).All this fussing around to later find out I need to go back in to the branch as the credit card was not set up for online purchases... what card these days isn't set up for that?? ASB is in the stone age.Poor customer service. I can see why ASB is one of the lowest rated and underperforming banks in the country.*If it wasn't for one of our directors having ties there, our company would not be with them!!One word to sum up this bank: incompetence
