Glenorchy Wharf
Beautiful scenery near the wharf with mountains background. There's a great walking path along the beach to enjoy the cold breeze and scenic landscape.

Scenic drive from Queenstown to this place, definitely worth taking. Its a small town though and food and drinks options are limited so plan accordingly. The views are amazing, we visited in February, would be worth the trip when it snow! There are restrooms here as well as plenty of parking and a petrol pump along with a couple of coffee shops.

This is a beautiful spot just as everyone says it is. I do find it just a little overrated as it is only a wharf with the famous shed next to it. It can also get quite busy all the time, but it is definitely worth the 40 minute drive from Queenstown at least once!

Glenorchy Wharf
Mystical, serene, tranquil with the added sense of grandeur as the mountains overlook this beautiful wharf.Plenty of little paths to walk around to catch a different view of the area.We came on a more wet day but was still worth visiting. Do visit!

Glenorchy Wharf
Beautiful view of lake and mountains from here. If you have the time, stick around for sunset and enjoy the ever-darkening backdrop of night sky as the lights on the wharf turn on. It's worth the wait and, as I experienced, you'll likely be the only person there. There were swans and ducks swimming around/under the wharf. A very enjoyable scene/moment.

Nice place, a sunny day is what you need at this place for the best results… (Sunny photos taken on 19/06/2023, Monday; Noon 12-12:30pm)Look up the weather forecast before going, we were trying our luck the first time, and it was misty throughout… (16/06/2023, Friday; 11:50am)We had to visit 2nd time for the sunny shoots.Glad we came! ! A total different experience, must see for yourself! Also, a hidden small spot near by…There’s a small Artistic Co-op shop near by, hand made little gifts here.

The Drive to Glenorchy is so amazing with beautiful views. Once you arrive the view is so spectacular. The Red Barn is an attraction to see while there nd also take in the view while walking down the wharf is just stunning.

The view from Glenorchy Lake side is wonderful and so very peaceful! The Glenorchy Wharf shed has been rebuilt but largely from the original materials after a flood damage the building. It is a good place to start your walk along the lagoon trail or track.
