how can I forget this place? this was the first time I experienced such turbulent winds on land. the side is just plain and rough. it was so windy that you can't even stand there.opening the door of your car is one adventure. but the site is just majestic only if you bear to stand there. I was at the time when the storm was approaching. but I simply love this place.if you have a chance to go there take some time to get some food and sit down and enjoy this beauty of mountain rivers and the road

I didn't stop at the river as such, but I did stop to take in the views of the sunset. Breathtaking scenes. Would love to have had more time to explore

Always a good drive through the Haast Pass. Such beautiful scenery and remarkably good driving for the amount of traffic. A large number of cyclists on the road.
