Huge lake fed from the Tasman River. Can appear as a beautiful blue under the right conditions. Hard to take your eyes off it when you're driving alongside it between Twizel and Aoraki National Park.

This is a good place to see how nature celebrates its beauty and also a perfect place for family walk with kids and dogs. You get to see amazing lake/river. It took us almost 30 minutes to get here from Lake tekapo. Indeed, one of my favorite places in New Zealand. I highly recommend that you visit this place or drop by on your way to Mt. Cook.

The mind-blowing place you will pass through when driving towards Mt. Cook. Must stop and take some time here when you go and back, the view changes but always lovely.

I will never forget the beautiful emerald color of Lake Pukaki until I die. It was the most beautiful lake I've ever seen in my life.It was a place where I could feel grateful for my life because I could see the beauty of such a pretty lake.

Such a beautiful lake. Great views of Mount Cook. Lots of spots to turn off and stop to see the view. Watch out for drivers on the road. Some get distracted by the view and drive erratically.

Definitely worth a couple of visits! You can get even closer to the mountains when you drive towards Mount Cook. The lake is an endless body of turquoise blue. There is plenty of parking available. Toilet facilities are not the best though.

Better freedom camping grounds than Tekapo. If youre lucky, you can see the reflection of the mountains on the lake if you positioned properly
