Melrose House Cafe
We discovered this place by accident. Had a lovely lunch here and some tea and scones after. Best choice ever. The lunch was delicious and healthy! The price was great for the quality as well. The staff is very friendly.There is a lovely garden and you can sit outside on the deck when the weather is nice. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Excellent food and wonderful coffee. Friendly helpful and professional staff who make you feel right at home. If you're passing through the region don't miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful little cafe. Beautiful surroundings and nestled amongst the trees and within historic Melrose House. The cafe gives of a very relaxing vibe with excellent service. The food we ordered are delicious and beautifully decorated. As beautiful as the garden and the building itself. I would definitely visit when I am in Nelson again.

Hit or miss. We’ve been numerous times. It seems summer attracts better cooks and servers. The same meal in winter isn’t as good and the service can be rude at best. Summer is great

This gorgeous cafe is a hidden gem in Nelson! Absolutely stunning ambiance for a relaxing weekend . Extremely friendly and courteous staffs with great service. Kudos to the team!Food over here was impeccably impressive!! One visit is definitely not sufficient to curb your cravings! They have a wide selection of desserts which is a cherry on the cake for me. Totally loved the experience. Looking forward to my next visit for their extremely gorgeous High Tea!For starters, We had potato w sauté mushrooms with two eggs , for mains ,we had the roast meal which was just heart filling ♥️ and also Creamy mushrooms. For desserts, we had a super creamy and rich lemon posset and also a chocolate cake which was absolutely decadent! It’s a must must visit place!

It's a lovely Cafe in a beautiful location, surrounded by trees and bushes. The scones are lovely and the coffee is nice. Quite an old fashioned and fancy interior, making for a classic and relaxing atmosphere.
