Just pulled out a dead golf ball pittisporum you planted in a new house for my uncle. It was in 3 inches of soil on a layer of washed concrete and starved the plant of nutrients. It was a job to pick ax the washed concrete but it should have been done when you landscaped. Try harder next time.
