This lovely Homestay the gateway to the Coromandel peninsula and only a short drive to Thames or Paeroa. The house is set on 22 Acres of private pristine bush. Great walks and beautiful waterfalls surrounding.

We really enjoyed our too-brief stay at Onetai, including the dramatic release of a trapped hedgehog. It's a beautiful property, far from the noise of cars and humans. All you hear is the birds and cicadas in the forest. The owner, Steve, is lovely and interesting to chat with. He was kind enough to stay up late to accommodate our delayed arrival. Lots of breakfast options provided in the morning. All amenities are great - comfy beds, good water pressure, everything is recently renovated. I was traveling with a friend, but would have felt comfortable staying here as a solo female traveler. Highly recommended!

Steve is a fantastic host...this estate is certainly a piece of paradise...beautiful home with amazing surroundings. Wonderful home cooked breakfast ..good old chinwag around the firepit with Steve...start and finish the day in the spa...what more could you ask for....a home away from home". Our stay was far too short...but we will be back. Wish Steve & Co all the best and can not wait to see future ventures. Recommend to all you will not be let down....definitely plan to stay as long as possible....Love Love Love!!!! xxx"
