Just been to see an Improv show at the Covert Theater, a small well set up Theater with a great team of Improv actors who give their all to throw a great show filled with great showmanship, plenty of mischievous humor and a whole lot of laughter.They started the Thearter June 2020 at the beginning of Covid, but they like the rest of us have survived through the lockdowns. This is a charitable trust and great worth supporting.Their staff are uber friendly, it's easy to book, online or stop in and purchase your tickets, the prices are more than reasonable. Their shows are Thursday to Sunday and during the week they do classes.They have a great little bar so if you are not up for a show stop in and have a drink as they have a well stocked bar.Most of all if you are looking for a good laugh go and see a show, highly recommend going.....

Being part of the Covert Theatre and doing the workshops to enable me to do that has been a wonderful experience. I would recommend any body to do the training classes, even if you never end up going on stage! it is so liberating, so much fun, so generous and connected... and one makes very good friends...playing with other adults is a blast!! Thank you, Covert Theatre, for keeping me young and reminding me that the best things happen when you take risks (especially when you know that all the other players have got your back! and that actually taking a risk is the safest thing to do....!!) Deep, huh? :)

A fun night out of you're looking for something light and a bit different

Not very busy, but it was a Thursday.Great off the cuff comedy. Nice quaint little theatre.Very reasonably priced for a night out. Will go again

When you’re looking for a fun show to watch, something never seen before (every nights is a new night !) then don’t look further, come and watch one of the cover shows!!!And if you like it so much, you can even sign up for some workshops and experience it by playing with them!!They even do kids workshop, I used to do improv classes as a kid and loved it so much, always thanked my mom for signing me up!There is a brand new theatre being built in Ponsonby, can’t wait to see how it looks like!

Sometimes you just need a laugh and the Covert is a place where they have them in buckets!!!Improv comedy made up in front of your eyes. With so many shows it’s hard to pick one, so pick them all. Always different and always funny.And so central in Ponsonby.

Went to impromptu night. Was very clever. Kristina like different skits to the ones I liked (something for everyone.) Clever how they have to think on their feet so fast. Good laughs!

Amazing variety of shows. Inclusive, fun and friendly. Give it a whirl!

Cute intimate theatre space. Very comfortable chairs. Great viewing
