Hot water beach
Underwhelming activity. Beach would be nice in summer.We were among 20-30 people on the beach trying to find some of the pockets of hot water.Be aware that hot water is not guaranteed you can dig 30 holes and not find any but just miss it by cm's

Hot water beach
High tide: If you're not a strong swimmer, stay out of the water or just dip your toes. Lots of surfing going on. There is lifeguard coverage, but don't rely on it. You won't be able to really dig out a pool.Low tide: Pools are diggable and it's a proper good time.If you forgot your shorts or towel there's a shop. There's outdoor footwash, showers, and change rooms; the whole lot.

A beautiful picturesque surfing beach that had the bonus of a hot water steam leaching through the sand at low tide. Very popular with tourists who come to dig their own hot pools so plan ahead and check the tide and bring a spade.A steep beach can create rips for swimmers so be aware.

Hot water beach
Such a cool place!! We came to the coromandel peninsula to see this and it was worth it!! We were worried when we saw people with shovels but we were able to dig with our feet and get the hot water. I would recommend coming here at low tide and staying for a while. The views are also beautiful. This is a must do!

It's a calling for me. I spent many year in my teens through my late 30s, spending time at our beach house. Great memories & made wonderful friends.It will always be a special place with wonderful memories!

Hot water beach
Great place to visit.Car parking can be an issue. But there is plenty of options. You just may end up having to do a short walk.The thermal area is only small. Easily found, just look for the crowd.Keep a close eye on small children. The water is hot enough to scold you.There was a life guard present, but I'm not sure if they are there all year round.Toilets are available at the car park and an outdoor shower to wash off the sand.

Beautiful beach, big waves and the great bonus of the hot water spots during low tide.There is paid parking.But the facilities (showers and bathrooms) are great and clean.I would recommend taking a shovel if you want to dig a hot tub for the warm water during low tide.The swells and waves are sometimes quite big.

Must see don't need a shovel just jump in any of the empty holes, or walk along the surf and feel the hot water. Parking at parking area $2 hour

Hot water beach
Wandered down to the beach on a wet day. You can't miss the spot as you can see the crowd from the car park! Kids were having fun digging holes to sit in the hot water, which was lovely to see. However, we just buried out feet in the sand to feel the hot springs. It was surprisingly hot.
