Duvauchelle Seaside Motel
We spent a wonderful two nights at this accommodation option. The rooms are modern, light, and warm, and make staying here a real pleasure. On both nights we wandered next door to the pub for some great meals. The location of the motel is ideal, being just 10km away from Akaroa township, while there are walks (and bike rides) in the near vicinity. Best of all (for us) is that our unit was dog-friendly, which we really appreciated!

Went in winter and found it hard to heat the room . It's great they allow pets ,and very handy having pub next door that will deliver your meal to your door .

Owner was very welcoming and down to earth. Beautiful view of the bay and beyond. Tidy unit. Plenty of linen. We had a 2 night stay and on our last day the owner so kindly checked to see if we needed replenishing of linen etc which we found very thoughtful.

This little motel was a good find, right on the Akaroa Harbour waterfront at Duvauchelle and right next door to the local hotel. Good sized rooms, well priced, tidy and functional. Comfortable beds. Recommend.

Duvauchelle Seaside Motel
Amazing place, very comfortable with the surprise of a breath-taking view on the sea in the morning. The owner Deborah is an adorable lady who will do her best to make you feel at home. I arrived late without food and she provided me with some and even gave me a lift to Christchurch the next morning. Thanks so much Deborah!

We had to change our booking at short notice, the owner was so so lovely and understanding. The hotel was very clean and cozy. The view was lovely to wake up to ☺️ couldn't fault it! Thanks for having us

Lovely , friendly & helpful hosts , rooms clean and tidy , had every thing we required .Was terrible weather & the rooms were warm and beds comfy .Parking available.Theres also dryer/ washing machines available.About 10mins drive to Akaroa .Dog friendly.
