EDIT: It's crazy how far Rentcare will go, all these fake 5 star reviews. It shows how desperate Jason is. There are more bad stories out there than there are good. Ask how many times he's been taken to court.I thankfully was only under rentcare for a year. In that time, they only ever got 2 things fixed. I moved in and the house and yard was a mess. There was an attempt to clean. A subpar one, slap of paint (walls were not clean, you could see hair painted into the walls). Windows were cracked, which I had photo evidence and asked to be fixed. Never were. After the year was up Jason increased rental price (owner was unaware of this increase). Then it was taken over by an amazing agency who got things fixed, the owner had no idea how bad the house was (he currently lives overseas). Rentcare prey on the vulnerable. Jason tried to tell the new agency the house was perfect, nothing wrong. He sent them old photos of the house trying to say nothing was wrong. I sent the new agent photos the day I moved in which showed Jason was lying. He is a snake, and the more I'm finding out, the worse it is. I tell every person I know to avoid Rentcare. Terrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

DO NOT touch this company with a barge pole! Having rented in Wellington for 5 years and had a range of very bad to ok property managers Rentcare was worse than all of them. One example, we were meant to move in before Christmas and promised that gas (LPG) would be connected. This was not done and we were left without hot water and cooking facilities for two weeks over Christmas..one of many examples!

Jason and his team are next level amazing. Not only do they take a really personalised care of their tenants. But they are fast, efficient abs next level professional. Which demonstrates care for the properties they manage. Nothing is a problem, communication is clear and easy. And the team are really genuine people. I won’t rent from anyone else.

Never thought I'd be leaving a second review for these guys but the absolute nerve is astounding, after nearly 5 months of living in a private rental they have come back complaining about unpaid bills" for a property that we have not been in for months now

Absolutely our worst experience with property managers, zero respect or care for tenants. Happy to jack up rent several hundred dollars the second they took over, never mind that we'd been good reliable tenants for 6 years. Ignore things they'd previously agreed to, skim read emails and then asked for viewings at times we'd already told them we couldn't do. Then of course they would just not bother to show up to viewings they'd arranged (and we wasted time tidying the place up for) or 'cancel' an hour after they were supposed to be there.Then we had a hassle getting our bond back because they screwed up the forms. Just generally super unprofessional and inconsiderate. We've had two other property management teams in our time renting, and currently a private landlord, and our experience has generally been decent (certainly nothing that would compel me to write a review), but Rentcare was a nightmare. Very glad we only had to deal with them briefly. Avoid these guys like the plague.Oh, and I'm 99% sure they bumped their own review score up. Did you know that 21 of the 4-5 star ratings were all placed on the same day? Something tells me 21 people didn't all randomly and independently decide that that was the day they had to give these guys a glowing review...
