Unichem Brooklyn Pharmacy

Went in to pickup a script that contained antibiotics, was informed by the person behind the counter that they recommended to purchase probiotics when on antibiotics. Quiet frankly a little disappointing given the lack of evidence around their general efficacy with antibiotics. For a place that should be able to be expected to be giving accurate unbiased health information, its was a bit troubling

Unhelpful staff turning me away when the pharmacy was almost empty an hour before closing for a walk in vaccination despite the giant advertising for vaccinations without appointment. I was told I missed the cut off time by about 5mins for vaccinations. If at least they had been able to give a clear recommendation about another pharmacy or advertise their vaccination times where they state you're welcome to come without appointment, but sadly that was not the case. Very disappointing. Surely it can't be that much paperwork (that takes an hour) for a simple vaccination when the system already has my records. Very inflexible service and not customer focused. I wasn't even offered to get all my questions about the vaccination answered or asked if I needed anything else. I used to enjoy the warm friendly service at this pharmacy, but perhaps the times and service have changed.

Despite 3 staff noticing us (and other customers) waiting to be acknowledged and served, none of them took any interest and continued talking to each other & ignoring our presence. We had booked appointments and after 10 minutes walked out in disgust and communicated our frustration.

Prices are quite high but the staff have always been friendly to me. I have been using this pharmacy for nearly 3 years but due to the cost & moving closer to a cheaper one I won't be continuing to use the service.Great selection of gifts, vitamins, medical bits and bobs the prices of these items are also quite steep.

I have used this pharmacy for many years, despite it being the most expensive pharmacy I have ever been too and the wait times being longer than average. Recently though, the staff have been unnecessarily rude, and dismissive. There seems to be a lack of communication skills broadly amongst the staff. Multiple times have gone to pick up a prescription and waited 20+ minutes only to be told they forgot about me". If you live in New Zealand or Australia and don't go to Chemist Warehouse

Favorite pharmacy in Wellington! Everything you need and the rest. Great place for vaccinations and the staff are so awesome!

I no longer used this pharmacy but that’s only because stop working and living in Brooklyn. But in the 15 years I was a customer there, they gave great service and are all very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. They do go above and beyond to look after you. They are also the only shop in Brooklyn where you can buy a lotto ticket.

Our family travels from Mt Vic to collect our pharmacy needs as the team are well informed about product lines, thorough with prescription advice and always friendly and helpful. I have noticed that many customers are on first name basis. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely friendly knowledgeable staff and Pharmacist. Discreet and professional if you need to consult the Pharmacist for anything medical, they have a proper consultation room, unlike lots of places where you have to stand awkwardly to the side. They also have a big selection of goods, I always find myself picking up a gift for someone, or something for myself.
