Lake Rotoiti Hot Pools
Great experience and very unique place as you can only get there by boat or kayak. There are guided kayak tours and tour boats to get you there. Can get very busy. A small boat takes 30 minutes from the nearest boat ramp. A shop is there selling food and drinks. There are a number of hot pools with varying temperatures.

You can reach this very special place only by boat or kayak. But it is well worth it. The hot water is flowing through several pools from the source to the lake and you can choose which temperature you like best.The whole place is well maintained and has a very relaxed atmosphere.We liked our short stay here during a kayak trip and would come back anytime!

Nice place to go although only by water. Don't kayak it gets rough at times and for the novice or non swimmer can be worrying. Get a boat.

Only accessible by boat or if you're able you can charter a Catamaran and sail the 20 min and really enjoy a great day out it is worth the effort. The pools vary in temperature from comfortable to 45 deg or could be even hotter.Tip, you will smell like sulfur and so will your clothes, I took a swim in the lake in December to rinse off and it was 15 degs but I could still smell the odour.I will be doing this again. I loved it.

Beautiful spot with lake views and nice terraced pools, though 8 out of 9 of them were too hot to get in on this particular day (I know natural springs change over time), and I hear it was super crowded on weekends, so I was well pleased we went on a Monday so there were only 3 boats of people and we all fitted in the one pool that was a good temperature. I really enjoyed my visit, and enjoyed the picnic areas, especially the one moored over the water. Great info boards too. A nice day out

Loved this place. The pools facing the incredible sea and mountain view where totally out of this world. I also loved the hosts (Cath and Chris), they were helpful in retrieving my wallet which I lost while there. Thank you so much!!
