We’re from Kapiti passing through. We were very impressed with the cuisine, service and atmosphere. The naan bread was so light and fresh. Sizzling plate was excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

The malai kofta was quite awful and the chicken tikka masala was not much better. Most disappointing indian we have had in a long time. Friendly enough staff though.

Have not eaten from Monsoon before as only new to town. We were delighted with our take away. Tikka Masala, Bahjji, garlic Naan and Kadai chicken. Perfect portion size. Would definitely recommend to other locals and travellers.

We had a great dinner there at our overnight stay in Taumarunui. Best quality and nice service. Loved the food. Definately a good place to eat

Not very happy, we are locals and got a takeaway dinner tonight. There was a whole lot of sauce and only a little bit of meat. At 60.00 I would expect better. I'll get mine from Te kuiti going forward better value for money

Win!!!!Always a gamble eating in a small town.Had packora, a lamb Saagwala and a birriani.The whole meal was delicious and superbly tasty.The staff had a nice energy and the room has a remarkably elegant feel given I assume it was once a show room.Pretty obvious the locals realise their good fortune as they were busy with both eat in, and also a steady stream of take away orders.Recommended!

An absolutely delightful meal - we had the banquet and the 3 curry dishes were out of this world. Great individual flavours and the naan bread was the best we have ever had.
