Lack of communication, horrible customer service. Denise is the worst property manager I’ve ever met. I travel for work and have never had such a terrible experience renting abroad. They “lost” my rent payment, had to have a wire transfer agent look into it and offered to come pay cash while it was sorted. We were treated poorly a lot of passive aggressiveness. Then they “found” our rent for that month. So they had 2 months of our rent, which is fine but no apology. She emailed very negative remarks about us that was meant for an employee. Her conduct is appallingly unprofessional. I would steer clear

Really terrible service. Didn’t show up for appraisal. Never called. Tried to rebook. Had someone ring and say Denise will organise an inspection time. Never heard from her. I’ve given her 2 days to call. Terrible service. A waste of time. One has to wonder if any landlord should consider a company that is a pig to get a hold of to manage your rental property. Have gone with someone else.

Denise is the worst property manager I've ever heard of or had. She failed to return bond to a tenant who had left for over a year, frequently failed to process vital paperwork in a timely manner, and acted with no concept of professionalism, going so far as to harass me on Facebook. If you're an owner, do not leave your property in her care. If you're a tenant, avoid properties managed by her franchise like the plague. The fact that this woman managed to rise to the level of franchise owner is a scathing indictment of the entire property management profession.If I could give negative stars, I would. This franchise and its owner have totally earned them. Worst property management company in Dunedin.

Denise, Melana and the team are absolutely awesome to deal with. Super helpful, friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend !! Denise has been of so much help to me in many ways, from choosing properties, advice, tenancies, upgrades and rennos, the list goes on. Thank you Rent Shop Dunedin!

Disgusting treatment of potential tenants. Landlords be aware — you are very likely missing out on excellent tenants as a result of unprofessional behaviour including, but not limited to, not showing up for booked viewing appointments.
