The gardens are spectacular and mature.I love the African animals scatted through in lifelike scenes (not that I've been to Africa)All the rooms are out clean and inviting

Te Popo Gardens
Spent a lovely night with Les and Amanda as they hosted us for a fun murder mystery dinner. There is nothing bad to say! The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The gardens, amazing! It's so lovely to see such a special place being so well cared for! I can't wait for another visit.

Te Popo Gardens
A great place to visit and stay over. The rooms are spacious and clean. The garden is awesome and well maintained. The animals are fabulous and make this place unique. The owners are lovely people and are so friendly and open for a chat. We have been there a few times now for murder mystery nights, fund raisers, music nights, lunch and sometimes just to picnic and hang out. Definitely a place I would recommend!

Great location tucked away in native bush. Lovely hosts, beautiful walks that include life-size metal craft african animals. Very unique with it's themed rooms and a lot of interesting areas to discover, with quite a history within the building itself. Highly recommended. Definitely a revisit planned.

Nice place..needs some tlc as tracks were overgrown and slippery getting to the waterfall and river were not safeAlso some signs pointing in the right direction would have been good as well

Te Popo Gardens
Even in the middle of winter Te Popo does not disappoint. The welcome was warm, the room was warm, the bed was comfortable and the food delicious. This was our third stay at Te Popo and was a much needed rest. Te Popo is so relaxing and peaceful. We came home totally refreshed. Thank you Les and Amanda for making it possible.

Wonderful location! The rooms were beautiful, the gardens were lovely and the hosts were amazing. They made our time at Te Popo Gardens very memorable with their excellent service. We can not wait to go back!

We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed the walk through the native bush. Tracks are mostly well maintained. Animals are great! The owner was very welcoming, so we will definitely come again.

+ amazing Gardens at the property+ Great hosts (thanks for the great evenings)+ superb cooked breakfast and we even got to enjoy amazing dinner+ Close (15 min drive) to next town = Stratford+ Great starting point for hikes from Taranaki / Egmont National Park Visitor Centre = 40 min driveHighly recommended to stay at TePopo Gardens instead of the towns around if you want to enjoy nature and experience great hosts.

We love Te Popo Gardens!!! Such a beautiful place!! One has to visit ;) our kids enjoy every time we go there the Fairy Garden and the ice cream ;) Lovely place to spend family celebration or afternoon picnic ;)
